“To the east of Bukkoji Temple in Teramachi”
While continuing to maintain the hibiscus tree…
The weeping cherry tree was planted in 2018 to
coincide with the relocation of the workshop,
and after eight years,
it finally received proper pruning.
When we first planted them, we envisioned them
becoming part of a cherry blossom path that
connects from the weeping cherry trees at
Bukkoji Temple to the weeping cherry trees along
the Kamo River, and we will cherish and nurture
them with that in mind.

This is how fruits are perceived in Japan.
Seasonal fruits are divided into three periods:
“early season,” “peak season,” and “late season.”

  • Early season is the first time the fruit is available,
with a young and light flavor.

  • This is the peak season when they are most
abundant and have the best flavor and taste.

  • Late season is when the fruit has passed its
peak and gradually disappears from store shelves.

    vegetable market in Kyoto.

Japanese chestnut ”WAGURI” ice cream
Just transfer it to your favorite bowl…
A delightful, cute, and endearing treat
An ice cream you’ll want to hug tightly

The coming seasons, autumn and winter,
are important for ice cream, and we strive
to play a supporting role in a wide range
of ways. We also use autumn and winter to
lay the groundwork so that we can take center
stage in spring and summer.

We make ice cream with all our heart.

Roasted sweet potato topped with ice cream…
The taste is simply sublime.
I’m one of those people who enjoys it every year.

The taste of a pear…
I feel like I’m savoring its form as well.
Autumn fruits are often praised for their beautiful curves.

Persimmons, one of Japan’s representative
fruits, are a delightful fruit for nourishment
from autumn to winter, whether eaten fresh,
dried, or as a frozen dessert.
